Blue Johani Cichlid

The Blue Johani Cichlid (Melanochromis johanni) is a stunning Malawi cichlid characterized by its striking blue body with subtle dark stripes. Known for its hardy nature and moderate aggression, this species adds elegance and color to well-maintained African cichlid aquariums.

Blue Johani Cichlids thrive in rocky environments with caves and hiding spaces that reduce territorial disputes. Males may become aggressive during breeding, so keeping a higher ratio of females to males is recommended.
