Demanson’s Cichlid

The Demanson’s Cichlid (Pseudotropheus demasoni) is a dwarf Malawi cichlid known for its bold black-and-white striped pattern and active, schooling behavior. Despite its small size, it is highly territorial and thrives in rocky tanks with caves, allowing individuals to establish territories and hide from aggressive tank mates.

Demanson’s Cichlids are hardy but require stable water conditions. Their peaceful yet territorial nature makes them ideal for African cichlid setups with similarly sized species. They are colorful, active, and a favorite among hobbyists who enjoy dynamic aquarium displays.
