Red Top Cichlid

The Red Top Cichlid (Metriaclima sp.) is a colorful and eye-catching African cichlid native to Lake Malawi. Its defining feature is the bright red coloration on the top of its head, combined with a contrasting body pattern that makes it highly sought after among hobbyists.

Red Top Cichlids are semi-aggressive and best kept in well-structured tanks with plenty of rocks and hiding spots to reduce territorial disputes. They thrive in groups with a proper male-to-female ratio and are generally compatible with other Malawi cichlids of similar size.
